MAY WAS MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH!

Coalition members were busy all month long participating in community events to help spread awareness and provide education about mental health and the many resources available, including the Be Kind to Your Mind event hosted by Adventure 212 and the Portage County Safety Fair hosted by Mark Toyota.

MENTAL HEALTH & SUBSTANCE USE DISORDERS

Mental health and substance use disorders affect people from all walks of life and all age groups. The coexistence of mental health and substance use disorders is called co-occurring disorders. These illnesses are common, recurrent, and often serious, but they are treatable, and many people do recover.

Third Quarter - 2022

2022 Walk For Hope

The 16th annual Walk for Hope is happening on Saturday, September 10, 2022! This 5K walk is a way to raise awareness of mental health issues and provides a hopeful message to all people impacted by suicide and other mental health challenges.

BEGIN AGAIN

Make connections. Maintain good relationships with close family members and friends; accept help and support from those who care about you; be active in civic, faith-based or other local organizations; assist others in their time of need. Avoid seeing crises as insurmountable problems.....

We have decided to start our quarterly newsletter again. We are so thankful for the support of many people and business in our community that have helped to make vital programs happen. The support this past year, especially during Covid, is really appreciated. We are writing to say “thank you” and to keep you abreast of important information around mental health.....
